Barley Oak takes the parquet pattern in a paler direction, a cool, straw-like tone that works well in a room that doesn’t get much natural light.

A dry tongue-and-groove joint lets the planks click together without any glue, over a suitable subfloor — a manageable job for a first-time DIY fitter. A pack covers 1.90 square metres across 24 planks, 5.5mm thick with a 0.3mm wear layer.

Alva’s Floor Shield coating adds resilience against scuffs, knocks and daily footfall, and a durable urethane coating, micro-bevelled edges and a detailed print film combine for a genuinely wood-like finish. Suitable for underfloor heating, and warranted for 25 years’ residential use and 15 years’ commercial.
